FORENSIC SCIENCE ISSUES IN CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION

(2 day seminar)

This 2 day seminar is designed for law enforcement officers, medical examiners or coroners, emergency room physicians and nurses, or prosecutors who are involved in the investigation and litigation of criminal offenses. The intent of the seminar is to heighten the awareness and knowledge of criminal justice and medical professionals in forensic science technology and applicability of forensic science to criminal investigations. The course will include reference material, handouts and numerous video and slide presentations to assist the criminal justice and medical professional in understanding the various topical areas of study. Training will be provided in clinical forensics & methods of investigation, blunt and sharp injury, gunshot wounds, shotgun wounds, the medicolegal autopsy & report, forensic toxicology, unknown remains, time of death and expert testimony.
