This 3 day ADAP school will discuss statutory and case law issues concerning DUI, with emphasis upon the recent Ohio Supreme Court's Homan decision concerning strict compliance with SFST procedures.  Training will be provided on the proper way to conduct the NHTSA Standardized Field Sobriety tests to include the one leg stand, the walk and turn, and the horizontal gaze nystagmus.  In addition, practical training on the SFST tests will be conducted utilizing test drinkers.  Training will also be provided on detection and general deterrence, note taking, court room testimony and the pre-arrest screening phases.
